Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
TruePolicy is free for customers searching for insurance agents. Agents pay a one-time registration fee and may optionally subscribe to paid tiers. This Refund Policy covers all charges incurred by agents on the Platform.
2. ₹9 Registration Fee
The one-time agent registration fee of ₹9 is non-refundable once verification is complete, except in the following situations:
- Verification failure on our side: If we are unable to verify your IRDAI license within 7 working days due to issues outside your control, the fee is refunded in full within 7 working days of the verification failure being confirmed.
- Duplicate charge: If you were charged more than once due to a payment error, we will refund the duplicate amount within 7 working days.
- Unauthorized transaction: If you believe a payment was made without your authorization, contact us within 24 hours of the charge. Refunds are subject to investigation.
Once your profile is verified and listed, the ₹9 fee is considered consumed for the verification service rendered.
3. Pro / Elite Subscription Refunds
7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
New Pro and Elite subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of the initial purchase. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10–15 working days.
Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription anytime from your Agent Dashboard
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No partial refund for the unused portion of a billing period
- You retain access to Pro/Elite features until the end of the paid period
Non-Refundable Situations
- Requests made after the 7-day money-back window
- Account suspension or termination due to Terms of Service violations
- Services already consumed (e.g., featured slots already displayed)
- Change of mind after the 7-day refund period
4. Lead-Pack Refunds (when launched)
If we introduce pay-per-lead packs in the future, individual unclaimed or fraudulent leads are refunded automatically to your wallet. Specific refund rules will be displayed at the time of purchase.
5. Account Cancellation
For Agents
You may request to deactivate or permanently delete your agent profile at any time:
- Email support@truepolicy.in from your registered email address
- Specify whether you want temporary deactivation or permanent deletion
- Deactivation: processed within 24–48 hours
- Permanent deletion: processed within 7 working days
For Customers
Customers can delete their account anytime from the Profile section in their dashboard, or by emailing support@truepolicy.in.
6. Data Retention After Cancellation
- Temporary Deactivation: Profile hidden from public view; data retained for up to 12 months in case of reactivation
- Permanent Deletion: Personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain information
- Anonymous usage analytics may be retained for product improvement
- Payment records retained for 7 years (Indian tax law requirement)
7. Third-Party Transactions
TruePolicy is not responsible for any transactions, agreements, or payments made directly between customers and insurance agents listed on our Platform. Any disputes regarding insurance policies, premiums, or agent services must be resolved directly with the agent or the insurance company.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email support@truepolicy.in from the email registered on your account with the following information:
- Your registered email address
- Payment date and amount
- Reason for the refund request
- Order/transaction ID (if available)
We typically respond within 48 hours.
9. Modifications to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before they take effect.
